Job Van Uitert Takes Race 3 at Mugello
Race 3 was held under clear skies with the temperature sitting at 30 degrees. A win for the Dutch driver Job Van Uitert (Jenzer Motorsport), who on the Lap 9 passed the Estonian Juri Vips of Prema Power Team who would finish second. Third was the Italian Lorenzo Colombo (Bhaitech), who in the final laps attempted a pass to take second but ultimately decided not to risk it in preference for taking points in the championship. There was contact at the start of the race between the Indian Kush Maini (Jenzer Motorsport) and the Swiss driver Mickael Grosso (Corbetta Competizioni), which brought out the red flag. Race 3 was subsequently restarted at 16:53.
Fourth was the Venezuelan Sebastian Fernandez, who on the tenth lap passed his Bhaitech team mate, the Italian Leonardo Lorandi who finished fifth. Sixth for the Brazilian Enzo Fittipaldi ahead of Artem Petrov (DR Formula), who had a tremendous battle with the New Zealander Marcus Armstrong (Prema Power Team), eighth, after he started 14th (the starting grid for Race 3 is decided by the second best time attained by every driver in any of the official sessions). The top ten was completed by the Guatemalan Rodriguez (DRZ Benelli) and the Italian Federico Malvestiti (Jenzer Motorsport).
In the Rookie Trophy, a third victory of the weekend for Lorandi, followed by Fittipaldi and the Brit Olli Caldwell (BWT Muecke Motorsport).
The next round of the Italian F4 Championship powered by Abarth will be held at Imola on September 8-10.
