Moscow Raceway Round 5, Preview
The second half of the season started today as the 2017 SMP F4 NEZ drivers made a new stop at Moscow Raceway for the fifth round of the season. A two-day event is waiting for the F4 NEZ youngsters, who started today with the penultimate official test for 2017.
Dark skies again welcomed the teams and drivers, and that was forecaste to remain the same for the entire weekend. MP Motorsport’s Christian Lundgaard is still leading FA Racing Xavier Lloveras by a few points in the series and will see the circuit for bthe first time today, while the Spaniard has the experience advantage of being a second year driver.
The grid also welcomes Renault Sport Academy driver Marta Garcia, who will be competing under MP Motorsport colours, while Jan-Erik Meikup from ALM Motorsport has withdrew from this round, leaving his teammate, Sten Dorian Piirimagi alone to defend the Estonian team.
Tomorrow the action will start from 10:00 with FP1, followed with FP2 at 13:00, Qualifying 1 at 15:20 and the 25 minute + 1 lap Race 1 at 17:35. The two-day event will then continue on Saturday with Qualifying 2 at 11:00, Race 2 of 18 minutes + 1 lap at 13:30 and Race 3 at 17:05.
